Did anyone else do engagement pics with their photographer and not in a studio?

I’m just asking because we did ours yesterday and they were so much fun.  In the beginning, I think both the hunny and I felt a little awkward, but as the session went on, we had a lot more fun.  Plus, our photographer said the lighting was perfect, our weather was cool, but not cold, and the leaves were starting to change so I think we got some really beautiful shots.

Not to mention, I enjoyed being able to love on the hunny for a couple of hours.  We should get our pics sometime in the next week and I can’t wait to see how they turned out.  We send our wedding invites out in a week and it’s all becoming very real.  Just a few more months and I’ll be a Mrs!

I’m (hopefully) having a pre-wed shoot when we pick our photographer, and this was a really good tip! I hadn’t thought of asking the photographer if we could do the pics somewhere other than the studio – but you’ve given me something to consider 🙂

Good luck with the rest of your plans!

    • The photographer was the hardest thing for us to choose. But we had a wonderful time. We wanted to get married in the fall, but because of timing, we couldn’t, so we still wanted pictures outside. We had some that had horses, a few that had historic buildings, and a few with us just loving on each other. It was great!

Have fun with your wedding planning. I peeked over at your blog and LOVED the bright pink shoes with the heart shaped peep-toe pump.

Our photographer didn’t have a studio. She is great though! She did our engagement pictures, wedding pictures and now pictures of our baby and none of them are in a studio. Our engagement pictures were more for the paper to put the announcement in and I asked her to only get from a certain point up. I think being outside definately helps the pictures look more natural!
