I have been so busy since last week, I’ve barely had time to cook!  This past weekend one of my favorite people and my Maid of Honor came to visit.  We had a great time looking at flowers, eating yummy sandwiches, and tasting wine.  Particularly a chambourcin that goes amazingly with chocolate.  With that said, I’m glad that I said I would spotlight some of my favorite products.

The past few weeks I’ve been working on eating better.  Instead of dessert, I’ve been trying to eat fruit.  Instead of chips, vegetables.  Well, it doesn’t always go as planned.  Sometimes I just need that little bit of sweet.  And recently, I’ve rediscovered one of my all time loves in the chocolate world, Nutella.  I love Nutella, as most people who’ve tried it have.  And if you’ve never tried it but like chocolate and hazelnuts, I strongly recommend you go out and find a jar.

I used to eat it on toast.  Or make a sandwich with Nutella and peanut butter.  I also liked to put it on bananas, apples, and strawberries.  Basically, I could make a meal out of putting Nutella on various foods.  However, recently, I have found something that is easy to dip, Honey Wheat Pretzels.  Although, this was not my discovery.  A good friend of mine suggested it, and I’ve gone a little nuts.  I find that the Rold Gold Braids are my favorite.

Yum yum yum.  I find that I can eat just a couple of these (without having to get any knife dirty or eating a huge amount) and my sweet craving is satisfied.  It may  not be the world’s healthiest snack, but heck, it’s better than those really bad days where I dive head first into the jar armed only with a spoon.  I’m actually seriously considering baking a cake and using Nutella as the frosting.  Would that be considered overboard?

How do you eat your Nutella?  Anything creative that you do with it?  I’m always looking for new ideas for one of my favorite spreads.

Me + a jar of Nutella + a spoon = Pure happiness! I LOVE that stuff and I don’t really have a sweet tooth. It’s really good on a super toasted crumpet, the Nutella melts into all the little holes….Yummy!

    • Mmmm, good call. Putting it on anything warm where it can melt is the best. My best Nutella experience was in Paris. I got a Nutella crepe and walked around, probably dripping everywhere and looking like a ridiculous American Tourist. Best breakfast ever.

I love love love nutella. My fav is with bananas, fluff, and peanut butter on thin sandwich bread. I used to get it on a chocolate chip bagels with peanut butter. I have a serious sweet tooth and it hit the spot. Then,of course, they closed the location. By the way, your blog looks really neat on my cell phone lol.

I actually love Nutella (or the Italian organic version) on rice cakes. Makes me feel like it’s a little bit healthier of a snack that way! I also like to put a tablespoon of peanut butter on first, then Nutella and it takes like a crunchy Reese’s peanut butter cup!

There are creperies everywhere here in Europe that sell Nutella crepes! I saw them this weekend in Paris. I haven’t had one yet, but will definitely try it! I like the apples and cinnamon ones!

    • Good call on the rice cakes!!! It’s like the high class version of a peanut butter cup!

I loved my Nutella crepe but I think all of them are amazing. I didn’t get an apple and cinnamon one, but I will try that next time I’m in Europe, yum!
